Slab City Experience
Tours
An inside look at one of America's
most unique off-grid communities
ABOUT THE TOUR
Want to experience Slab City but don't know where to start? You've come to the right place!

Discover the history, culture, and environment of Slab City: an off-grid unincorporated community in the Sonoran Desert, through the eyes of one of its residents in an honest, non-exploitative manner.

From its origins as an abandoned Marine base to the home of artists, nomads, outlaws, and dreamers, "The Slabs" is an ever evolving canvas of human resilience and spirit.

With the options of walking the whole route (2-4 miles depending on optional stops) or doing a drive-along, the tour is fully customizable to your desired level of activity, involvement, and physical abilities.
